It couldn’t be a better time for Hotel E to open to widespread acclaim in picturesque Santa Rosa. About Hotel E

The luxury four-star Hotel E is the newest upscale property of San Francisco-based Greystone Hotels and downtown Santa Rosa’s first boutique hotel. Located in Courthouse Square, Hotel E currently features 39 guestrooms, meeting space, stylish lobby and a wine bar showcasing premium wines from the Sonoma Wine Country. Additional space (Phase 2) with a rooftop bar, fitness center, guestrooms including two top floor luxury suites with private balconies, Perry’s Restaurant and a Starbucks is expected to open in Spring 2020. The entire property is completely smoke free and very pet friendly.

The iconic beaux arts main building was formerly known as the Santa Rosa Building, built it 1908. Shortly thereafter, it was renamed the Empire Building and over its years, served as a bank, college and most recently a law firm. More than 110 years later, it remains the most familiar structure in Santa Rosa.

Hotel E is the 12th hotel owned and managed by Greystone Hotels, a leading hospitality and management company founded in 1995 by President and CEO Eric Horodas. Hotel E is led by hotel General Manager Vern Lakusta, whose has extensive management experience with Greystone Hotels.

Hotel E is a short distance from U.S. Highway 101 at the Highway 12 exit in Santa Rosa. The city is located about an hour north of the Golden Gate Bridge and is the most populous city in Sonoma County and the North Bay.

Courtyard Square is situated in the heart of the city’s vibrant downtown, with several restaurants, retail shopping and nightlife all within walking distance. With its spacious outdoor plaza, the Square is also a wonderful gathering place for events like the enormously popular Santa Rosa Wednesday Night Market through August 28.

Accommodations

The 39 new rooms come in four categories – King Premium, King Deluxe, King Standard and Queen Deluxe, in addition to ADA Accessible Rooms, available on a “First Sell” basis. All rooms feature several impressive amenities, including complimentary Wi-Fi, Keurig coffee maker with Wolfgang Puck gourmet coffee, in-room safe, flat screen TV with cable, mini fridge, plush robes and slippers, eco-friendly skin and bath care products and a KEYPR In-Room digital tablet. Rooms with adjoining private access are also available for families and groups. Bathrooms have marble countertops, full length mirrors, walk in shower and low-floor toilets

Each of the rooms come equipped with contemporary furnishings, fine art and linens, and many rooms offer a splendid view of Courtyard Square.

ADA Compliant Features

In addition to ADA accessible rooms, Hotel E provides several other ADA compliant features, including accessible valet parking, ADA compliant access to the registration desk, meeting rooms and wine bar and accessible public restrooms.

In addition to valet parking, wine bar and meeting space, Hotel E offers 24-hour concierge service, complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, and express check-in/check-out. Wine Bar/Food Options

Located in the lobby, the Enology Wine Lounge offers an impressive collection of Sonoma County wines. The current featured winery through August is Balletto Vineyards, with its President and founder Anthony Beckman making guests appearances, along with Vice President and winemaker Anthony Beckman. In addition to an assortment of Balletto wines, the wine lounge also offers selections from other Sonoma wineries, like Armida, Iron Horse, J Vineyards, La Crema, Rodney Strong and Stonestreet Estate. The lounge also offers craft beer from local breweries, like Fogbelt, Henhouse and Moonlight.

Hotel E also offers a moderately priced Morning Lite Bites menu to its guests. This includes hot and cold beverages like gourmet coffee and tea and fresh juices, fresh pastries and granola and fruit and yogurt, in addition to “savory selections” like Quiche Lorraine and Baked French Toast.

After Phase 2 is completed next year, Perry’s Restaurant, a popular mini-chain based in San Francisco, will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also from Phase 2, the Rooftop Bar & Café is expected to offer gourmet food items, as well as on-the-go treats from the new Starbucks.

Current Packages

Hotel E if currently offering several package specials, including the Advanced Booking Package with a 15 percent discount and luxury accommodations, Heart of Romance special with rose in the room, a bottle of Iron Horse Wedding Cuvee and more and Woof, Wine and Wag with special treats for dogs. The hotel also offers tour packages, like Pedal Pinot, where guests can join GM Vern Lakusta on a 20-mile bike to explore wineries in Western Sonoma County.
