The announcement of a reopening plan means that all-inclusive resorts in Los Cabos will start welcoming guests on June 1. Unveiled by the Los Cabos Tourism Board, the re-opening plan for this popular travel destination will consist of five phases. This means travelers are already making plans for their next all-inclusive Mexico vacation.

The Five-Phase Reopening Plan For Cabo San Lucas

The first Phase begins June 1. This will be with the resumption of limited national and international arrivals. In addition, it is a concerted effort to implement health and safety guidelines. During this phase, 40 percent of the resorts open June 1 while observing strict hygiene standards due to the pandemic. Additionally, airlines are adding more flights from the U.S. during this phase, although health screenings will be in place.

Second Phase: July – The international terminal at Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) reopens. This phase will slowly allow the resumption of international travel.

Third Phase: August to September—The recovery of national and international arrivals, particularly travelers who canceled reservations in March or April, will continue.

Fourth Phase: October to December – This phase anticipates the return of luxury travelers, groups, and travelers from Canada and the UK.

Phase 5 – Q1 2021 – During the first quarter of 2021, 60 percent of air travel and an 80 percent recovery of bookings will be restored.
