About El Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead)
Día de Los Muertos is a holiday originating in Mexico over 3,000 years ago. Held annually on November 1 and 2, the festive holiday honors friends and family members who have passed away. Although there are significant celebrations across Mexico and Latin America, the Day of the Dead is celebrated worldwide. Several Día de los Muertos events will be held across the United States. Moreover, there are celebrations in Europe and even in Asia. This year’s celebrations are extraordinary, as most events were canceled last year due to COVID-19. Pueblo Bonito resorts in Mexico feature very colorful Día de Los Muertos ofrendas.
