As one of America’s most popular pet friendly destinations, San Francisco offers several great hotels for you and your furry friend. A part of the Noble House collection, the Argonaut has a pet-friendly policy with no size restrictions. A fee of $75 per pet, per stay is charged, while stays over seven days require an additional fee. Nearby, there great spots for pets, like Aquatic Park and Fort Mason. Also not far away is Crissy Field, a popular spot for dog owners amid spectacular views of Golden Gate Bridge. The Argonaut Hotel has been a AAA Four Diamond Award recipient for 16 consecutive years.

Hyatt Regency San Francisco is currently reservations for stays beginning September 3. But for pet lovers, it’s worth the wait for one of the city’s iconic hotels. Conveniently close to the Embarcadero for strolling, Hyatt Regency is lauded as very pet friendly. The hotel accepts dogs weighing up to 50 lbs. or two dogs up to 75 lbs. total. Fees for up to six nights is $100, with an additional $100 for longer stays. Visitors and guests will also enjoy the Hyatt Regency San Francisco’s 42,000 sq. ft. lobby, largest in the world.

InterContinental San Francisco allows up to two pets weighing up to 50 lbs. The fee is $100 per pet and cats and dogs are allowed. Guests with pets will stay in designated pet friendly rooms. Also onsite is a fitness center, pool and the Michelin-starred Luce Restaurant. Most dog friendly destinations in the city will require a private vehicle to reach. Suggestions may include Crissy Field, Fort Funston and Golden Gate Park. The latter has a gated dog park, in addition to other parks like Corona Heights and Rincon Hill.

Front desk staff can make recommendations for pet friendly destinations nearby, like Golden Gate Park. This may also include Baker Beach and Fort Funston. Marine Memorial Club & Hotel also a rare local hotel that does not charge a resort fee. Three resident bulldogs serve as happy hosts to visiting animals. Also onsite is a top floor steakhouse and fitness center.

Part of the appeal are special offers especially geared towards pets of any size. For instance, the Bark and Park package with 50 percent off parking and pet fees. Another attractive package is Pineapple Pup, with 50 percent off pet fees and nice perks like a water bowl, treats and pet bed. Located within a restored Victorian building near Union Square, Staypineapple San Francisco is a short walk from Chinatown.
