Hyatt Regency San Francisco is currently reservations for stays beginning September 3. But for pet lovers, it’s worth the wait for one of the city’s iconic hotels. Conveniently close to the Embarcadero for strolling, Hyatt Regency is lauded as very pet friendly. The hotel accepts dogs weighing up to 50 lbs., or two dogs up to 75 lbs. total. Fees for up to six nights is $100, with an additional $100 for longer stays. Visitors and guests will also enjoy the Hyatt Regency San Francisco’s 42,000 sq. ft. lobby, largest in the world.

InterContinental San Francisco allows up to two dogs weighing up to 50 lbs. The fee is $100 per pet and cats and dogs are allowed. Guests with dogs will stay in designated pet friendly rooms. Also onsite is a fitness center, pool and the Michelin-starred Luce Restaurant. Most dog friendly destinations in the city will require a private vehicle to reach. Suggestions may include Crissy Field, Fort Funston and Golden Gate Park. The latter has a gated dog park, in addition to other parks like Corona Heights and Rincon Hill.

Marine Memorial Club & Hotel is a rare San Francisco hotel with no fees for pets. Located near Union Square, this hotel also offers a VIP (Very Important Pet) package, which includes a pet bed. Front desk staff can make recommendations for pet friendly destinations nearby, like Golden Gate Park. This may also include Baker Beach and Fort Funston. Marine Memorial Club & Hotel also a rare local hotel that does not charge a resort fee. Three resident bulldogs serve as happy hosts to visiting animals. Also onsite is a top floor steakhouse and fitness center. Marines Memorial Club & Hotel is not far from the dog/walk friendly Embarcadero.
